LUMA SALON | SOUTH END CHARLOTTE
Local Art
We take pride in featuring local Charlotte artists and their talents by displaying their striking pieces along the walls of our salon.
Beauty lives here in more ways than one.
"Art and beauty are not separate — they live in the same space."

LOCAL CHARLOTTE ARTIST
Kristin Dills
Born and raised in Charlotte, Kristin Vartanian Dills took to art as soon as she could hold a pen. She majored with a BFA in Design and worked in the fashion industry and event design, all while drawing and painting for select clients after hours. She has collaborated with beauty brands including Jo Malone, Aerin Lauder, and Neiman Marcus.
While expecting her first child in 2015, Kristin began her "Dapper Animal" series — pieces that were later hand-selected to be sold by Minted and Pottery Barn Kids, shipping internationally as far as Singapore and Dubai.
In 2020, Kristin was approached to take a skills test to become a Louis Vuitton Artisan — and successfully passed. She is one of fewer than 10 LV Artisans in the United States, painting custom artwork for clients on hard-sided luggage and trunks.

LOCAL CHARLOTTE ARTIST
Kimberli Balchunas
A featured artist in several East Coast galleries and annual art shows, Kimberli Esther has an uncommon passion for sharing the blessings of Providence through the visual arts. In addition to a deep love of the coastal areas of both her native New England and her home in the Carolinas, Kimberli explores a variety of media — often mixed — to create original expressions of color, texture, and space.
Kimberli holds a BFA in Fashion Design from Parsons School of Design in New York City, and went on to a prosperous career as a Fashion Designer and Product Manager for Issac Mizrahi, Calvin Klein, and Kenneth Cole.
As an artist and painter, Kimberli is inspired by the created world and brings color, space, and pleasing composition to paper and canvas.
